Yes they are! They are made from real books that are about to be thrown away or destroyed.

What size are the Books?

They measure: 13" wide x 8" tall x 3" thick. They lean back slightly on their stand. This makes their total deepth leaning about 4-5".

What size are the Tapestry?

They measure: 5 ?" wide x 20" tall x ?" thick. They hang on the tri-looped cord. Without the cord their length is about 15".

Do the Books come with a stand of some sort?

Yes. The books come with a wooden stand that measures 5 ?" wide and 3 ?" deep. It comes with 2 wood dowels that go in the stand and allow the book to be displayed.

We also offer the Personalized Book Stand to give your book that "Personal Touch".

How quick will my order ship out?

Under normal circumstances orders placed by 1pm Eastern time ship the same day. Orders placed after 1pm Eastern time occasionally ship the same day, however, as a policy we say they will ship the next business day. You can see how long it will take your shipment to get to you by clicking the UPS transit time map icon to the left.

Retail stores or wholesale customers can expect their product to ship within 3-7 business days.

What does handmade really mean?

All of our products start off with raw materials. For example, the Books will go through a 9 step process from start to finish. Every step involves a craft person or artist adding their special talent to the product.

The books start their journey being hand formed into their shape. They are hand colored and rubbed with their gold accents. The final works of poetry and paintings are applied by hand. After several other steps they are hand inspected and packaged. These same basic formulas are performed with our other products as well, again all by hand, each one made in the U.S.A.

The artist that produce the wonderful sentiment you read throughout the website start with original works of art, which includes both poetry or paintings. Although, we may occasionally use poetry from other sources such as bible verse or sentiments in public domain, our artists are the driving force behind our products.

Audrey Jeanne Roberts brings her unique watercolor style of art and calligraphy, while Judith Bond brings her very down to earth fine art and true to the heart sentiments

Will the Books hold up in flower arrangements/floral coolers?

Yes! Although they are real books, we are confident that they will hold up in your cooler for a resonable amount of time. We had our local florist put this to the test. She placed several in her cooler for over 72hrs. There were no problems at all.

Do the Tapestry come with hanging hardware?

Yes, they include: 1 tri-looped cord and 1 3/4" brass hook, which can be screwed to a wall.

They do both. They are mounted to an easel back which allows them to stand, and has a wall hanger on it.

How do you get your books, do you ever buy from individuals?

We will buy books from individuals. We mostly deal with libraries and large book recylers. However, if you are interested here are a few details to get you started. We only use Readers Digest Condensed Books. The minimum we like to purchase is 100 per time. There are several quality controls that must be implemented. How can I be sure I'm seeing the most up to date product or verses?

Here at Books of Love Inc we do add new verses to the product lines occasionally. As with all websites the only way to be sure you are seeing the most up to date pages is to do the following:

1. At the top of your browser click "Tools"
2. Next, click "Internet Options"
3. You should automatically come up on the "General" tab. If not click the "General" tab.
4. Mid way down click "Settings"
5. Now you see a box that starts with "Check for newer versions of stored pages"
be sure "Every visit to the page" is selected, and click "OK"

Now you can be sure that no matter what web site you visit, you are seeing the most current and up to date information they are providing at the time.

How Do I cross Reference Poems? Understanding Product Codes: The last two digits of every product number relate to the poem's title and verse. This may help in cross referencing product styles, while looking for the same poem. Example: 103 Book, 303 Musical Book, 4703 Parchtone/Scroll, 4803 Tapestry, 5703 Spanish Parchtone/Scroll 503 Spanish Book all end in "03" making them all the same poem "Footprints". Products are listed numerically page to page by category, however, not every poem is made in every product style.
